Attributes

Seven attributes. Your style stat is raw power, Skill helps everyone, and nothing is permanent — you can respec.

AttributeDoesMatters to
Strength Melee damage (+STR ÷ 2) Melee
Dexterity Ranged damage (+DEX ÷ 2) Ranged
Intelligence Magic damage and healing power Magic, Healers
Skill Hit chance and crit chance Everyone
Agility Initiative and defence Everyone
Constitution Max HP (50 + 15×level + 5×CON) Everyone
Charisma NPC discount (cap 25 %) and work pay Traders

What each attribute does

  • Strength — Your melee power stat. Every 2 points add +1 damage to each melee swing, before the target's armour. Does nothing for a ranged or magic build.
  • Dexterity — Your ranged power stat. Every 2 points add +1 damage to each bow or crossbow shot, before armour. Only ranged builds care.
  • Intelligence — Your magic power stat. Every 2 points add +1 spell damage. If you fight as a Healer it also raises how much you mend — every 4 points of Intelligence are worth as much as 4 points of Constitution there. Ignis Vestae's burn no longer reads your Intelligence at all: it takes a share of the strike that lit it, so it grows with your weapon instead. Magic builds only.
  • Skill — The universal offence stat — it helps every style. Each point of Skill above the defender's Agility adds +2 % to hit (from a base of 80 %, capped at 95 %), and every 4 points add +1 % crit chance (base 5 %, capped 35 %). A crit deals ×1.5 damage.
  • AgilityDefence and initiative. Each point cancels one of the attacker's Skill points in their hit roll — that is −2 % to their chance to hit you. Higher Agility also strikes first each fight, with Skill breaking the tie.
  • ConstitutionSurvivability. Adds +5 Max HP per point on top of the level curve (Max HP = 50 + 15 × level + 5 × Constitution). Every build wants some.
  • Charisma — The trader stat — no effect in combat. Lowers NPC shop prices by 0.2 % per point up to 20 %, then 0.1 % per point up to the 25 % cap, and raises the gold you earn from jobs and quests by 0.5 % per point.

Starting out and growing

  • Every attribute starts at 5, and you get 5 free points to place.
  • A single attribute is capped at 5 + 3 × level, so you cannot dump everything into one stat early.
  • Max HP is 50 + 15 × level + 5 × Constitution.
  • Charisma shaves 0.2 % off NPC prices per point up to 20 %, tapering to 0.1 % per point up to the 25 % cap.
  • The level ceiling is 65.

Respec — Oracle's Absolution

Changing your build never means rolling a new character. A respec resets all seven attributes to 5. What comes back depends on where the point came from:

  • Points you earned by levelling return to your free-point pool, ready to reassign wherever you like.
  • Points you bought with gold training do not return as points. They are refunded as 75 % of the gold you paid for them, so rebuilding a trained stat means training it again.

Below level 5 a respec is free and refunds your training gold in full — experiment with any build while you are learning the game, at no cost. Those early respecs do not count towards the rising price below.

The gold price scales with your level and climbs each time you respec. It is (500 + 200 × level) × (respecs so far + 1) — your first respec is that price at ×1, your second at ×2, and so on. It does not depend on how many points you have trained. A level 20 character, for instance, pays 4,500 gold the first time and 9,000 the second.

Prefer to skip the rising gold curve? Pay a flat 60 Aurei instead — the same reset at a fixed price, unaffected by your level, your prior respecs or your Charisma discount.

A respec is a real choice, not a free reset: the 25 % of training gold you do not get back is the price of changing your mind about a stat you paid for.
