Ladon
Ladon is the world boss: a single shared-HP dragon the whole server chips down together during a fixed daily window. There is no timer state — the window is derived, so every client already knows when it opens.
The window
Ladon is alive when the local Europe/Helsinki clock is between 19:00 and 19:00 + 2h. Each strike costs 1 Expedition Point and resolves 3 swings using the real combat maths.
Shared HP pool
The first window ever starts at 10,000 HP, which is tier 1. Every time the server kills Ladon the next pool grows by 2,000 — one tier — and every window he escapes it shrinks by the same step, never below the starting pool. He tops out at 50,000 HP, tier 21. The rule is deliberately simple: every kill makes him stronger, every escape makes him weaker. His current tier is shown above the pool bar during the fight.
A night nobody strikes at all is not an escape: that window leaves no record, so the tier holds where it was. Only a window that was fought and lost pulls him back down.
He strikes back
Each strike, Ladon counter-attacks for 20–80% of your own maximum HP — a percentage, so the cost is the same at every level and low characters can still take part. Natural regen does not refill within a window, so participation leans on potions.
Rewards
Rewards scale with your share of the damage: base × (15% + 85% × your damage / pool).
Base reward is up to 1,200 XP and
900 gold; a floor guarantees even a single strike pays out.
What he drops
A kill you landed at least 3 strikes on always pays an item — the roll is guaranteed, unlike a zone boss's 60%. A window that ends without a kill, or one you only tapped, pays experience and gold but no loot.
The item level follows your level, not Ladon's: it rolls at your level +2 (give or take one). Ladon is level 60 and gear cannot be worn below its own item level, so anything rolled from his level would be unusable to everyone who is not already at the cap.
| Rarity | Chance |
|---|---|
| common | 20% |
| uncommon | 36% |
| rare | 34.5% |
| epic | 7% |
| legendary | 2% |
| mythic | 0.5% |
Themed loot: 60% of template rolls draw from the beast pool — Hunter's Hood, Hunter's Jerkin, Hunter's Grips, Hunter's Treads — and the remaining 40% from the full item catalogue.
Unique drops: Ladon-Scale Aegis and Golden Apple of the Hesperides replace the ordinary roll on 10% of qualifying kills. That is a higher rate than any zone boss pays, because there is no drop roll to fail first. A unique is its own tier: every copy is identical, and it never occupies the legendary or mythic band.
Scales and patterns
The same kill rolls twice more, and both rolls are independent of the item above and of each other — you never know which one lands. Neither is touched by any daily lockout: Ladon is a once-a-day server event, so there are no repeat clears to scale down.

| Scale of Ladon
The catalyst every Magnum armour recipe burns. |
60% | 1–2 |
| A Magnum armour pattern
Pattern: Dracoscale Plate, Pattern: Sleepless Leather, Pattern: Orchard Weave |
15% | 1 |
The pattern is aimed, not rolled: it always matches the chest armour you are wearing, so there is no wrong-class pattern to be disappointed by. One armour pattern opens all four slots of its class, and a second copy of a pattern you already know is not wasted — it becomes 2 Scale of Ladon. Forging any of it also needs profession skill 90; see Weapon Mastery for the full Magnum tier.
Because the pattern follows your armour class, the four pieces it unlocks are a complete armour set — and wearing them together pays that class's set bonus on top of what the pieces themselves roll.
Both drops are bound: they cannot be sold, listed or traded.
The Draconarius portrait
On a kill, one eligible participant may win the cosmetic portrait Draconarius (a 10% chance that it drops at all, then shared among the eligible). Eligibility needs level ≥ 10 and at least 3 strikes — the bar measures effort, not raw power.
