Seasons
The Arena runs in seasons. A season is one calendar month, and it ends at the turn of the month in Helsinki time — the same clock everything else in the game runs on (see Schedule).
How the ladder is scored
Your season standing is not your Honor but how far you have moved it: the ladder
ranks you by Honor − your Honor at the start of the season. Each
tier has its own ladder, so you compete against the band you actually fight
in.
What the rollover does
At the turn of the month every rating is squeezed 50 % of the way back toward 1200, with 800 as the floor. Nobody is reset and nobody is promoted past anybody: the whole band moves toward the middle together.
This exists to fix a real problem rather than to add ceremony. Honor is zero-sum and scaled by the gap, so the highest-rated player in a thin tier earns almost nothing per win and loses heavily per defeat — staying level can demand a win rate above 90 %, while someone below them gains thirty points for the same duel. Without the squeeze, the top of a band literally cannot win its own league. Compressing the band restores the price of a win.
Season rewards
When a season ends, the top of each tier ladder is paid. The first band you qualify for is the one you get.
| Placing | Gold | Laurels | Title |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5,000 | 500 | Season Champion |
| 2–3 | 2,500 | 250 | Season Elite |
| 4–10 | 1,000 | 100 | — |
Gold and Laurels are claimed; the title is granted at the rollover itself and stays on your record permanently — see Achievements and Titles.
Laurels spend at the House of Laurels. Your Honor and tier are shown live on the Leaderboards; everyone starts a career at 1200.
