Alpha Wolf
A Boss-tier melee monster in Via Appia Woods, encountered at levels 12–18. It counts toward quests that ask for elite or boss monsters, whatever your level.
Skills
Alpha Wolf has two named skills. Each fires once per fight, at the moment shown below. The boss card in Expeditions lists the same skills before you spend any energy, and the fight report names a skill when it fires.
| Skill | When | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Pack Howl | At the start of the fight | It howls and the woods answer: +8% crit chance for the first 3 rounds. Punishes starting the fight hurt. |
| Blood Scent | When you end a round below 35% health | Once you end a round below 35% health, it has your scent: +8% damage for the rest of the fight. Punishes a fragile build. |
Nature
Its card in Expeditions reads Fears fire.
- Fears fire. Burning, which Ignis Vestae or gear with Burn chance can leave, has 125 % of its strength on it.
A nature changes only the state an element leaves, never the hit itself, and nothing is immune. See Elements and states.

When a dropped item rolls below item level 15, epic and better become rare. The base odds are shown; low rolls are clamped.
Themed loot: 60% of template rolls draw from this monster’s beast pool — Hunter's Hood, Hunter's Jerkin, Hunter's Grips, Hunter's Treads — and the remaining 40% from the full item catalogue.
Item level of a drop scales with the monster’s level; the numbers above are the fixed odds a win rolls against.
